YMCA of the Rockies – Yelp review of the week

This week we are going to see Yelp reviews of YMCA of the Rockies, located at 1101 County Rd 53, Granby, CO 80446. YMCA of the Rockies is made up of two year-round family resorts and conference centers – Estes Park Center and Snow Mountain Ranch, and a traditional overnight summer camp for teens, Camp Chief Ouray. All are located in the heart of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains and offer a variety of affordable lodging options so families and groups can connect with each other and create life-long memories.

Few of the top reviews are given below:

Jess from Denver, CO says, “We recently held our wedding festivities at SMR and it was an excellent experience. We had nearly 100 folks staying in all the different lodging types (campsite, yurt, lodges and cabins) over a week time period. It fit all our various guests’ financial parameters, but still encouraged everyone to be together. We set up one or two events each day for our guests so we could all meet up and “play” together. The YMCA staff was great about accommodating all our needs and helping to make it a wonderful time for everyone. We are not religious and there is definitely a Christian presence here, but it IS a YMCA. You can decide what you want to focus on during your stay and although it was present, it was never forced on us in any way. We stayed in one of the newer cabins for 10 days. It was clean and ready to go and definitely felt like home by the end of our stay. It was a 2 bedroom cabin, which was perfect in that it gave us some privacy but also room to host the constant cycle of guests who were stopping by during our wedding vacation. The YMCA staff were really great- front desk, special events, conference services, program department- all of them. Wonderfully friendly people which just made our time up there even more magical. We will definitely be back as a couple and for more family-centric events.”

Elizabeth from San Diego, CA says, “My husband and I took our 3 boys, ages 11, 8 and 3 on a 2-hr ride here. It was amazing. The guide was an export from New York but she has a ton of knowledge about the area and we really enjoyed riding with her. One of my sons got altitude sickness about halfway through and she couldn’t have been kinder. She stopped and called someone to drive over to us to help him regain himself. The ride was amazing. I would go back for sure and my boys, even the one who got ill, want to return asap. Thanks Snow Mountain, it was a highlight of our vacation!”
