If you’re anything like me, you might be wonder mid-week what’s happening over the weekend and for the rest of the month. It could be Pretty Lights playing at Red Rocks, a new restaurant opening, a cocktail event, fundraiser, new art exhibit; you name it and this city has got it. Here’s a breakdown of some cool things happening in the great city of Denver in February.
Let’s talk food! A couple of amazing things are happening this month in the culinary world. First off my good friends Delores Tronco, Tony Maciag, and Dana Rodriguez are opening up their newest restaurant, Work and Class in the RiNo district. Think amazing happy hour, great spirits and beer, with a plethora of meat and vegetarian options. The reviews are in and this place is going to be hot!
Next up for food is the all too well known Denver Restaurant Week. This year they have split up this two week extravaganza to one week in the winter and one week in the summer. The first week will be in February. There are over 100 restaurants participating in this year’s Restaurant Week. Restaurants will offer a $60 ($30 per person) pre-fix menu from February 22nd through February 28th, 2014.
Looking for the latest trends in home improvement? Look no further than the Colorado Garden & Home Show running from February 15th through February 23rd, 2014. This is the oldest and most prestigious garden and home show which brings vendors from all over the country to showcase the newest trends in home improvement, gardening, and landscaping. It’s a must event for anyone that might be thinking about selling this summer.
On the music scene, Denver is offering some great shows for you! Paul Simon and Sting will be preforming at the Pepsi Center February 11th. If you like Motown music then Motown Legends Revue will be at Lannie’s Clock Tower February 7th. If the orchestra is your bag then don’t miss, There Will Be Beethoven performed by The Colorado Symphony at Boettcher Concert Hall February 28th, 2014.
Like Comedy? Comedy Works has some amazing shows lined up for you! Whitney Cummings will be performing from February 7th through the 8th at the Downtown location. Maz Jobrani will be at the same location from the 20th through the 22nd and Rob Schneider will be at the Greenwood Village location February 21st through the 22nd.
As you can see, there’s plenty to do in Denver for the month of February. I didn’t even touch on the art exhibits, festivals, museums, or what’s at the theater. There’s something for everyone and that’s what makes Denver so great.
