I’ll Put My Money Where My Mouth Is

I have for a long time professed that our marketing at the Colorado Dream House Team was better than any other Realtor in the Denver market. It’s tough to prove, and I hear other Realtors espousing that their marketing is top-notch, but is it better than ours? Let’s put it to the test. 

We go in to meet with a seller, and we present our marketing plan to sell their home. We ask them at the end if anyone has presented a plan that is as comprehensive or is as good as ours. Most of the time they say, “that’s the best marketing plan we’ve seen,” and we not only earn their business but sell their home. Sometimes the home owner will say “yes we have seen marketing plans very similar to yours.” That usually raises a red flag with me because I know Realtors and I know their lack of experience or effort when it comes to marketing. I came from a background in marketing and was taught by some of the best marketers in the world. So when a seller says they’ve seen a similar marketing plan, I usually ask to see a copy of it. Most don’t have a copy because the Realtor did not have it down in writing or did not leave it with them (this should be a red flag for you, the seller). When the homeowner does have a copy of the competitions marketing plan, I usually look it over with the seller present. Then we break down everything the other Realtor is doing versus what we are doing. In almost every case, the homeowner then can see that there is no comparison. Our marketing plan wins when we compare apples to apples 99% of the time. In fact, I have decided that I am so sure our marketing plan is better than anyone else that I will put my money where my mouth is. Here is what I am willing to do.

  • Interview the Colorado Dream House Team to sell your home and let us present our marketing plan in writing.
  • Interview our competition and get a copy of their marketing plan.
  • If our competition’s marketing plan is better than ours, then you can hire that agent or team, and we’ll give you $250 just for checking us out.

Now, of course, there are some rules around this. We have set up a page on our website that explains them. In short, the other Realtors marketing plan must be in writing and must meet certain criteria that we have laid out. If the other Realtors plan beats each and every one of our stated criteria and you want to use them to sell your home, then you get the $250 from the Colorado Dream House Team. Sound Fair? Why would I do this? Because I believe we are not only the best team to market your home; we are also the best team to sell your home, and I’ll bet $250 on it.
