The snow has already started falling, the beautiful leaves are all gone and the streets will soon be icy. The cold will set in, which for some will be delightful. But how would you like to have the best of both worlds? What I mean is this, would you love to be skiing in the Rocky Mountains one afternoon and laying on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world the next day? You can have that dream and I will tell you how!
As many of you know, I have been traveling back and forth to the Big Island of Hawaii for 20 years now, mainly because my wife is from Kailua-Kona, Hawaii and we love to visit her family. But almost two years ago, Jen and I bought a home in Kona and it’s been the single best investment that we have ever made. Not only has the value soared, but there is no place like Hawaii to relax among the gentle breeze blowing through the coconut trees with the turquoise water lapping beneath your toes. Can you picture it with me?
Well, I’m happy to announce that I now have my Hawaii real estate license and I am going to be taking my clients from Denver to Kona who may be interested in purchasing a second home in paradise. United has a daily direct flight from Denver to Kona and Delta has a one stop in Seattle.
There is so much to do on the Big Island (remember, all of the other Hawaiian Islands can fit inside this one amazing island) so you’ll never get bored! You can visit 8 of 13 ecosystems of the world and they are all located on the Big Island! It has amazing tropical rainforests, black lava deserts, snow-capped mountains (Mauna Kea is the tallest sea mountain in the world), and rolling grasslands in Waimea, just to mention a few. There are also rushing rivers, leisurely flowing streams, sparkling white sandy beaches and plenty of ocean activities to keep the whole family busy for weeks on end. And if you love sea-life, you can swim with the dolphins or watch the whales swim by, all winter long! Moreover, I can show you all the private spots that the tourists don’t know about.
I am working with a new development in Kona called Kohanaiki. It is the talk of the town! I have examined this place under a magnifying glass and I can assure you that this place is perfect! The property consists of 450 exclusive acres for only very discerning buyers. The Robb Report featured this development in its 2017 “Best of the Best” issue. Just six months ago they completed an unbelievable 65-million-dollar clubhouse. It took five years to build and it is 67,000 square feet with some of the most magnificent ocean views you will ever see! The clubhouse comes complete with a bowling alley, theater, restaurants, cigar room, wine tasting rooms and full spa which features four freestanding treatment rooms, including one for couples and one specifically for skincare, all of which boasts outdoor showers and soak tubs as well as dry saunas, plunge pools, a relaxation garden; a yoga lawn; and a salon for nails, makeup, and hair.
Like golf? You will be blown away by Kohanaiki’s 18-hole golf course which is the only Rees Jones golf course in Hawai`i. The beauty of the course is truly stunning and will stir even someone who avoids the sport to want to play.
Or you can wake up and listen to the ocean waves crashing on the shore as you do yoga on the beach. Or maybe a private paddleboard lessons, a tennis match or a private workout sounds tantalizing to you. Feeling lazy? Stop by one of the many “comfort stations” around the 450 acres, or lay by one of the four exquisite pools and soak up the warm Hawaiian sunshine at the oceanfront Beach Club.
Right now, there are private single-family homes and amazing condos for sale. Or maybe you want to customize your residence? There are incredible ocean-front and mountain view lots available, too!
Currently, Konhaniki has sold 135 homes/condos of the 400 to be built. Prices start at 2.7 million and go up to 30 million. This is a private club so there are no rentals, Airbnb’s or anything of the like. This is just for homeowners to enjoy. All amenities are included if you are an owner.
Here is a link to the website for you to explore: https://kohanaiki.com.
The developer has about 9 units, both single-family and condo units left to sell in phase one. The developer is negotiating fairly aggressively on these few remaining units:
Soon, they will be developing Phase II and these units will be available to purchase in about a year. If you are serious about purchasing a second home in Kohanaiki, we will even fly you out and put you up for three nights in one of their custom-built homes. I promise, you will be treated you like a King or Queen, this is truly an opportunity you don’t want to miss!
If this is a bit more than you wanted to spend on a second home, no problem! There are plenty of opportunities with condos priced around 500K, to single family homes priced around one million dollars.
The economy is booming, not only here in the mainland, but also in the Hawaiian Islands as well. More people are flying to Hawaii than ever before, as all of the airports are reporting a record number of visitors. This bodes well for an investment like this!
If this is something that may interest you, please let me know so we can begin discussing the possibilities you have in buying in Hawaii, and please feel free to email this to those who may be interested; I would love to help your friends, neighbors or family!
And If there is anything you would like to discuss Denver real estate opportunities, I am always available to discuss that as well.
I am sure you will have additional questions and I look forward to hearing from you.
